Welcome to The Global Voice! A live radio show that celebrates diversity in inclusion. Every episode features stories and conversations about ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Listen live every Sunday morning on CFCR 90.5FM Saskatoon Community Radio, or if you miss it you can hear all the shows here!

Presented by Saskatoon Open Door Society

Mar 22, 2022

Today we have a series of short documentaries made by newcomer youth as a part of the Saskatoon Open Door Society’s Radio & Podcast Podcamp program, where immigrant and refugee youth learn how to write, record, and edit their own episodes.

First, we hear Miheret (Mih-heh-ret) tell us about a trip she was able to take to a leadership conference in New Brunswick. After the break, we hear Ziyu break down the phenomenon of being ghosted by people you thought were your friends as well as Azwa interviewing her friend Danielle about the death of her sister and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women in Canada. That segment is heavier than the others, so please consider this a warning about its content. Thank you to all the youth who contributed their stories for our youth showcase!

Aired live on CFCR 90.5FM Sunday, March 20
