Maia Herriot and Dale Couet join us from Global Gathering Place to discuss their organization as well as the upcoming Ride for Refuge event. Global Gathering Place is a prairie settlement agency, providing vital services to refugees and immigrants in Saskatoon since 1998. Their agency serves thousands of newcomers each year, providing a diversity of free programs and services to match the diversity of their needs.
This year on October 1, 2022 they are hosting Ride for Refuge, a family-friendly bike + walk fundraiser supporting local charities who help people seeking refuge from danger, hardship, and abuse.
